Route 66: The Neon Highway
Route 66: The Neon Highway

From 2000 to 2014, Jim Thole prowled the Mother Road at night in search of any neon sign he could find. During those 15 years, he accumulated about 350 nighttime images of neon signage, some of which have adorned magazine covers. Join Thole, chairman of the Route 66 Association of Missouri’s Neon Heritage Preservation Committee, for this presentation featuring colorful folk art created in customized neon signs—the “eye candy” of the Mother Road.
