Parent & Me

Parent & Me is a program for families with children ages 2–5 that encourages free play and child-directed exploration in intimate Museum settings. Parent & Me is held once a week for four weeks on Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays in the spring and fall. In addition, a special Parent & Me In Motion series is offered on Thursdays in February. Capacity is limited for these programs to ensure families have high-quality experiences.

August 2017 Parent & Me: Making Music [WAIT-LISTED]

Bring your children ages 2–5 to the Museum for an all-new musical version of Parent & Me! Kids will experience the history of St. Louis through music. At 10am each day, families will begin class with a few hands-on activities in a gallery. From 10:25am to 11am, everyone will join professional musician Robert Bernstein of Robert’s Music Together for a class that incorporates singing, movement, and instruments. Each class has a different historical theme.

October 2017 Parent & Me: Picture the Adventure

Bring your children ages 2–5 to the Museum to explore exhibits and participate in picture-inspired activities! Families will experience the history of St. Louis through paintings, prints, and photos. In all Parent & Me classes, families will move throughout the gallery and classroom spaces at their own pace as they complete activities incorporating touch, movement, smell, sound, art, and more. Outdoor activities are planned on some days but are subject to weather. Light snacks will be available.
